The Guernsey County Water Department has issued an urgent boil water order for residents and commercial customers along State Route 313. The affected area extends from Jump Up Lane to Stake Lane, including all residents on Leatherwood Circle.
Utility officials advised that customers within the specified zone should bring all water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming, cooking, or using it for oral hygiene. The advisory was enacted as a precautionary measure following water line maintenance and pressure drops.
Crews are performing routine testing to ensure water safety standards are fully met. The boil order will remain in effect until further notice, and updates will be released as testing results become available.
