Governor DeWine Announces $9 Million Allocation for Safe School Routes

Governor Mike DeWine announced that 17 Ohio counties will receive a share of $9 million dedicated to improving safe routes for students traveling to school.

The state funding will cover pedestrian infrastructure improvements, including new sidewalks, crosswalk signals, and traffic calming measures.

Local school districts and municipal engineering teams will oversee construction to prepare safe pathways ahead of the upcoming school year.
