John Glenn senior Ashlynn Kuklica captured the individual girls title at the Muskingum Valley League cross country championships on Oct. 17 at Crooksville High School, navigating the course in 19:28.0 to win by a 20-second margin among 64 runners.
Kuklica's teammate, sophomore Addy Kent, also turned in a top-ten performance by finishing ninth with a time of 21:53.7. The Muskies competed against a top-heavy field featuring several area standouts in Perry County.
The championship meet served as a vital postseason tune-up as area runners eye upcoming district meets and qualification berths for the regional championships at Pickerington North High School.
