Led by a dominant one-two rushing punch, Buckeye Trail broke into the win column with a convincing 32-6 Inter-Valley Conference road victory over Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Senior Drew McGlumphy rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns, while junior Chris Parker churned out 121 yards and a score as the Warriors rolled up 320 yards on the ground. First-year head coach Devin Nicholes secured his first career victory guiding the program as the Warriors improved to 1-8.
The breakthrough performance provided a rewarding milestone for Buckeye Trail after battling injuries and close contests throughout the fall campaign.
